When I was little, I loved reading the Little House on the Prairie books. Now I read them to my kids and am filled with admiration of their simple way of living. I stop just short of wishing to live back then because I really do enjoy the luxury of modern convenience. But, I do love sewing, crocheting and crafting in general. I love gardening, canning and making my own food. I love raising my kids and schooling them in our home and training my two daughters in the domestic things that I love. I love doing things naturally, like cloth diapering (sometimes) and making my own baby food, and I recently experienced my first natural childbirth. I certainly don't have it all together, but I'm striving to build a home with God as the center where my family feels safe and loved and friends feel welcome.
Why do I blog?
I love reading blogs, and I wanted to share my love for domestic things. I plan to share my adventures in domestication and my journey to a simpler life.
